Plus(+)You Tip: How to turn an apple into an hourglass
Hello my voluptuous vixens!
So, we all know about the plus positive messages that have been going around lately in the media…BUT, have you noticed that the images presented are those of girls that have the perfect hourglass figure? Where is the tribute to the Apple, the Pear, the Eggplant!? Aren’t these the more realistic figures that we have? Here is a little insider secret ladies, the hourglass figure CAN exist even if you do not necessarily go in all that much at the waist. How? Ah… The beauty of clothing!
First, pick the figure closest to yours:

Diamond, Triangle, Square, Apple, Hourglass, Upside down Triangle, Pear
If you are either the Triangle, apple, hourglass, or pear…these are considered bottom heavy focused figures…although you may have just as fullness on the top. With these shapes, you want to draw the eye to the smallest part of your body which is your waist…if you don’t go in there, you will want to create the illusion that you do.
The easiest and cheapest way to do this is a cropped jacket. You want to pick a jacket that is lighter in color than the shirt you are wearing underneath or vice versa…NO BLACK ON BLACK, and one that goes no longer than the top or middle of your bellybutton. Also, make sure it is not too big or too tight. You want to be able to button it if it has buttons, but so that when it is buttoned, it is a little bit snug. Your best option for styles is either a blazer (a-line cut) or military style.

For the other figures, or those of you who are fuller at the top or more of an apple figure, you can follow the same rules for the jacket…but you can also pair it with a pesant style shirt…or in other words…a blouse that takes you in at the waste (by either string or spandex) and flows freely at the hips.
